Toyota Safety Sense 2.5+, a set of advanced safety and driver assistance features, is standard on every Highlander.
A new turbocharged engine is an exciting addition to the lineup, while the Highlander Hybrid has an EPA-estimated combined rating of up to 36 mpg combined on front-wheel drive grades.

2023 Toyota Highlander Lineup:

Highlander offers a total of 22 configurations, and two unique grades return for 2023: the sporty XSE and the Hybrid Bronze Edition.
Quite possibly the biggest addition is the new turbocharged engine, which has more standard torque than the outgoing V6.

2023 Chevrolet Traverse Lineup:

Traverse is offered in six grades, with three appearance packages available for select versions.
None of these offer a hybrid powertrain, but all-wheel drive is available across the lineup.
2023 Toyota Highlander Exterior:

The Highlander’s sleek exterior features LED headlights and taillights on all grades.
Available 20-inch alloy wheels add an extra dose of style, while an optional hands-free power liftgate provides additional convenience.
The XSE trim adds a nice dose of sport to the design thanks to its exclusive front-end design, black accents throughout, and unique 20-inch wheels.
Bronze Edition, on the other hand, adds a touch of elegance with striking bronze-colored wheels and distinct bronze-colored accents throughout the interior.

2023 Chevrolet Traverse Exterior:

Traverse features a unique front fascia with LED exterior lighting as standard.
Lower grades get standard 18-inch alloy wheels while select trims upgrade to the available 20-inch.
Additionally, a hands-free power liftgate is available in higher grades.
While Traverse is available with style packages like the Redline Edition and Midnight/Sport Edition.
it doesn’t offer any full-fledged special edition grades like Highlander.
2023 Toyota Highlander Interior:

In addition to seating up to eight passengers, Highlander’s interior features conveniences like two available 120-volt outlets, in-dash storage, and the rear seat reminder system.
Additionally, a Panoramic View Monitor with Perimeter Scan is available in select grades.
A new 7.0-inch TFT gauge cluster screen replaces the 4.2-inch TFT on lower grades.
Limited and Platinum grades now feature a 12.3-inch Full Digital Instrument Cluster screen.
2023 Chevrolet Traverse Interior:

Like Highlander, Traverse offers seating for up to eight passengers. It also includes the Rear Seat Reminder and a storage bin.
However, there’s only one available power outlet. Lower grades feature a 3.5-inch Driver Information Center.
The LT Leather and RS include a 4.2-inch Driver Information Center, while the Premier and High Country use an 8.0-inch display.
An HD Surround Vision camera system is available but only on the RS, Premier, and High Country grades.
